At the Brown Ohana Reunion
July 4th weekend

Wilma leaves me speechless
so give me a few days to add some words
{&more faces}
to this entry
The date is now 07-08-09!
Here are a few photos from our Monday picnic @ Pohoiki–

A few more family photos from the reunion…

Soon there’ll be another post with more flowers and a collection of lighthouses. Also look for waterfalls on Hilo Shore Lines. And my heronSong yola-site finally has pictures! And facebook has a couple of my unknown surfer videos, as well as more reunion & family photos…
Looks like it’s time to add something to “Strong Currents & Tributaries”… Thanks again to all the old-timers who still inspire us. “Here’s to the Pioneers!”
The Earth As One
05/28/2008
1) Our Saving Grace
My only daughter is lost to me now, tho I hope not to herself
And one day when I find her somehow I’ll gladly wish her well
Where have I been all these years that time can never tell?
Been trying to ring a broken freedom bell…
When will we be home again, all gathered in one place?
Together we can sing “Our Saving Grace”–
2) The World to Come
My first-born son is a grown man now with two daughters of his own
They wait with mom & wonder when will he make it home
We cannot change what’s been and done but we are not alone
Together we can mend the world to come

When will he be home again with his bugle & his drum?
Together we can change the world to come!
3) Hear the Earth
My 2nd son is a young man now with worries of his own
I can’t believe how long it’s been since I picked up the phone!
But if he will forgive me for the things I haven’t done
Together we can fix the world to come–
Oh when will there be time again
To play the saxophone & the drum?
Together we can see the world as one
