Grandchildren Growing
07/19/2009
Since this, my first weblog on WordPress
is dedicated to the grandchildren
(2 girls on my side, 7 boys & 4 girls on Wilma’s side)
it’s about time to add some as-yet-unseen photos..
It’s summer already but most of these are from earlier in the spring. Starting with the oldest & the youngest of the Schneider children: Brian, Jr. & Brianna
And his middle two, Broxcen & Brandon

Now Bradley’s twins, Kele & Alika —

Here are some pairs of cousins: Jamal & Lawakua

Tihani & Brianna
This was supposed to be an organized page of family groupings & legible labels, but you know me, whatever works.
Been working on a new project of unknown-surfer-videos for friends on facebook
but an upload malfuntion has stalled me. So i remember my 1st weblog & its unfinished family portraits & lack of any substantial news.
Yes, i post plenty pics to keep from having to write so much yet in a way i’m evading my primary purpose…
And of course i rarely know whether anyone out there sees or reads any of it anyway
(These little problems can be remedied & i’m confident that the future holds a more creative communication current
for all of us!)
Meanwhile i’ll share more images of grand children

This is Kiakahi of course & we discovered a shortage of her beautiful face in these files so will remedy that misfortune starting now…

Jamal still lives with us so there are plenty photos of him…

Lawa is a perpetual clown…

And a few more while we’re at it…

At the Brown Ohana Reunion
July 4th weekend

Wilma leaves me speechless
so give me a few days to add some words
{&more faces}
to this entry
The date is now 07-08-09!
Here are a few photos from our Monday picnic @ Pohoiki–

A few more family photos from the reunion…

Soon there’ll be another post with more flowers and a collection of lighthouses. Also look for waterfalls on Hilo Shore Lines. And my heronSong yola-site finally has pictures! And facebook has a couple of my unknown surfer videos, as well as more reunion & family photos…
Looks like it’s time to add something to “Strong Currents & Tributaries”… Thanks again to all the old-timers who still inspire us. “Here’s to the Pioneers!”
Kaia & Airi

June 2009
Airi turns 2
We had a small party for Airi last week
because she will be in Japan
on her actual birthday.

- Cousin Kiakahi on the left

- Kaia & Airi

Kaia graduated from Hongwanji pre-school. She displayed her energetic talents with singing & dancing during the program.
Little sister congratulates her.
Papa is proud.
Fun with a friend.

A few more shots from earlier in the spring
to round out this post for the beginning of summer…
And here’s to the parents of these wonderful girls!

Hootenanny etc.

( Note: this is a resurrected version of a post that should have appeared in November. It’s incomplete, maybe incoherent, but includes some pictures I hope you find interesting or inspiring.)
Dear Friends,
After pausing awhile @ 12 posts & launching a 2nd weblog (called Hilo Shore Lines), I am pondering whether this should be another seasonal entry, an addition to the pumkin party page, or “just another wordpress post”… opting for the latter. First, the leftover Halloween pictures:

Kaia(Love this one of Kaia!)Brandon?Glowing-eyed Broxcen Some of the Kupuna who particated in the Hilo Hattie-inspired Hootenanny fundraiser for the Food Basket. (Wilma has been on the committee for 4 years.) And some of the grandchildren who came for the comic hula competition. Brianna & the twins Kaia & the twins Airi likes to fly
(a little obsolete but here it is anyway)
Well, friends, it’s December already & I’m still working on a post from November…This one’s giving me some trouble so if it doesn’t work soon I’ll move on to another November post: Kaia’s 4th Birthday Party. Maybe I can squeeze in some news or otherwords between all the fun photos…
An attempt to insert Veteran’s Day parade video failed & this post slipped between the cracks due to technical difficulties, so it resurfaces as a special page.

Gabe is in one of the helicoptersVet's Day parade (local bikers) Here's to the New Year& the new erawe are enteringNo end of singing"All Love Surroung You"Together we can hearTHE WORLD AS ONE! Mauna Kea
